Acumen Development Solutions was established in September 2012 by Jarrod Rendell and Nick Perrignon. We are a locally owned Western Australian business specialising in the development and delivery of residential masterplanned communities. Now in our 15th year of operation, we bring together a highly experienced team with extensive knowledge of the Western Australian property development industry.

Our expertise spans all stages of the development process, from initial project planning and strategy through to delivery, sales and marketing. We take a considered and commercially focused approach to every project, drawing on our local knowledge, industry relationships and collective experience to achieve the best possible project outcomes.

Proudly Western Australian owned and operated, our focus remains exclusively on projects within WA, allowing us to maintain a deep understanding of the local market and the communities in which we operate.

Director

Jarrod Rendell

Managing Director

Jarrod has spent his career valuing, securing and delivering land for residential development. Seven years as a licensed valuer with Colliers and Savills gave him a grounding in what land is worth. Acquisition and business development roles with Australand and Stockland had him identifying and securing englobo land across metropolitan Perth. As Stockland’s State Development Manager he led the team delivering every residential land project in the WA portfolio and more than doubled Stockland’s WA market share in just over two years. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Property) from Curtin University.

Nick Perrignon

Director

Nick has run residential land businesses in Western Australia and nationally for almost four decades. He started as a project manager at Cedar Woods in 1986 and became its Managing Director, helping grow it from a privately funded single-project developer into a listed company. As WA General Manager for Stockland he grew the business from a $7M to a $33M profit centre in two years, and as Stockland’s Chief Operating Officer for Residential Communities he was responsible for 65 development projects across Australia. He later led strategic planning and growth at Satterley Property Group, and holds an MBA from UWA.

Amy Nancarrow

Project Director

As Project Director and Development Manager at Acumen, Amy oversees the planning and delivery of key residential land developments, including Glen Iris Estate and Catena Estate, while also playing an integral role in the future development of Carabooda. Working closely with consultants, contractors and project stakeholders, she provides strategic direction and manages projects through all stages of development to ensure successful outcomes.

Mitch Dodson

Development Manager

As Development Manager at Acumen, Mitch oversees the planning and delivery of key residential land developments, including Atlantis Beach, Capricorn Beach and Garden Park Grove. Working closely with consultants, contractors and project stakeholders, he manages the development process to ensure projects progress efficiently and achieve successful outcomes.

Marketing

Simone Saywell

Head of Marketing

As Head of Marketing at Acumen, Simone oversees the marketing strategy and delivery across the company’s portfolio of residential land developments. With a strong focus on brand positioning, strategic planning and campaign performance, she works closely with the development and sales teams to deliver marketing outcomes that support each project’s success.

Renee Hansen

Senior Marketing Manager

As Marketing Manager at Acumen, Renee oversees the planning and delivery of marketing campaigns across a range of residential land developments, with Atlantis Beach as her flagship project. Working closely with the development and sales teams, she manages marketing initiatives, project communications and campaign performance to support each project’s sales objectives.

Contract & Customer Managers

Linda McCaul

Contract & Customer Manager

With over 10 years at Acumen, Linda brings extensive experience and knowledge to her role as Senior Contracts and Customer Manager. She oversees contract administration across the company’s residential land developments, working closely with the sales and development teams to ensure contracts and settlements are managed efficiently and with a high level of care and attention to detail.

Nicole Backrack

Contract & Customer Manager

As Contracts and Customer Manager at Acumen, Nicole supports the coordination of contracts and settlements across the company’s residential land developments. Working closely with purchasers, sales representatives and internal teams, she manages customer enquiries and ensures clear communication throughout the purchasing process, helping deliver a smooth and positive experience.
